UPDATE

Hey All!

No post (other than this) tonight. . .I had to get a new computer (was one of those dinosaurs still using XP).  I was unable to load my old editing software onto my new one.  So working something out to get the photos ready.  Will post in a couple of days.  Just wanted to let you know, and there is no need for you to comment on this.  See you in a couple of days!

Best,  Curt

OK Curt, we are dinosaurs together! I still have XP on my desktop and I have been warned that there will no longer be Windows support for this one! I don't want to change as I know I will lose all kinds of software that I have been using for years! How will I survive LOL!! Hope you are well!! Hugs!

New computers, ugh. Hubby had to get a new one too, we called the Smithonian Institute to see if they wanted it, but they declined our generous offer!

I got a windows 8 touch screen for my B-day in January and I know you are supposed to be happy when someone gives you something, but that was very hard to do. Once I figured out I could use the desktop part instead of the touch screen part I am much happier. Good luck with the new computer.

Oh my - good luck! I have my old trusty XP still sitting under my desk ready to plug in if I ever need it. Can't quite seem to say goodbye to it. My Windows 7 works well, but if I had to get a new one, well, I might just cash in my computer chips and become a luddite! ~chris

I know where your coming from. I am an XP die hard!! I just got a new computer this week, Windows 8.1.? :). It is totally different then the XP, and I have been working out on it trying to figure everything out. I buy my computers from DELL, and have them up load the programs I want, I downloaded on a DVD disk my other files and programs from the XP. Good luck :)

We were dinosaurs too :( I had Win7, but DH still had XP. We both still had office 2003. So, we are learning lots of new 'stuff'. DH has another word for it, that I won't share here. Use your imagination...Just think how fun a new computer will be! cya next week, hopefully!
