I'M SO VERY LUCKY

Hey All!

As the title of this blog post implies, I truly am a very lucky guy.  I want to thank all of you for the incredible support you have given me as I traveled through this change in my life.  It's just not the selling a house you love, buying another house to start again, and moving, it is all that and the reasons for having to do so.  This is really a new chapter in my life, and as the journey begins, I know I have all of you traveling it with me. . .thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Here's the news. . . .Our house sold in 12 days and we bought our "pool house" the very same day.  It was touch and go for awhile because the day we received our offer, the pool house received an offer.  We ended up in a bidding war, but the war was won!  We close on the properties at the end of June and I couldn't be more happy, excited, and relieved.

Someone asked if I would supply the link to the new home and I would be more than happy to.  You can see pics of our new house HERE.  When you see the main picture of the house, click on it and you'll see the pictures in a bigger format.  I'd love to know what you think.

Again, thanks for your prayers, positive comments, and good wishes.  They, as you, mean the world to me.

Hugs,

Curt

It looks like a beautiful house Curt. Is it far from your existing home? How often are Shotsy and Gunther going to be in the pool??? lol Are you still in 'Carmel' or is it another suburb? I'm so pleased things are working out for you. Sending many positive thoughts.

WOW! What an awesome house. I live in CA and I you wouldn't believe what that house would cost here
:-) (probably between $600,000-$800,000)I have long been a follower of your blog and I have tried so many times to comment and it never seems to go through. I can sooo relate to what you have just gone through...4 years ago we had to leave the house we loved and thought we would retire in (we lived there 13 years) to move to an entirely new community. It has turned out to be such a blessing and the stamping community that I have become involved with here has become so dear to me. We also LOVE where we live. SO when it is hard to leave our comfort zone for the unknown we can never really know that something even better can be waiting for us! Your new home is absolutely lovely and we all look forward to seeing the special touch that you will put on it! I will keep you in my prayers that all goes smoothly for you. Getting your new "studio" put together and then trying to figure out where everything is when you go to make a card...is one of the biggest challenges, because it isn't where it was in your old studio! We all send you a big hug and hope that things settle down for you quickly!

Warmly,

Peggy Dollar in Mentone CA

Oh gosh I'm going to sound like such a party pooper! The new house is lovely as everyone has said -- and interestingly decorated in a very masculine style! But it seems you will still have to widen some doorways -- will you remove the carpeting for Jay? He uses a wheelchair now if I recall correctly. Well congratulations, truly a Herculean effort that paid off! Love to you and Jay and best wishes on your new home!

Hi Curt. I am so sorry it has been many moons since I have last visited. I have been catching up on your blog and you have been going through so many changes. I am so so happy that things are working out for you guys. I looked at your beautiful home and thought how gut wrenching it must be to sell up but then I saw your new home and wow it is gorgeous!!!. Definitely makes up for it. I think that the reasons you are selling are admirable Curt, what an amazing guy you are. I just feel that this new chapter for you all will be the start of many happy years ahead.
I have been watching your brilliant home movies with Gunther and Shotsy!!! I just love them. Your walks are so lovely and what a beautiful view of the White River. Your boys are so well behaved too.
I will be back again to see you and how things are going Curt. Can't wait to see pic's when you guys have moved in.

Thanks so much for reading my hint and sharing the new house. It's a real beauty. Best of luck with the transition to Indy. Looking forward to seeing the first card produced in the new home and maybe some fall pictures of how you made it yours and Jay's and the boy's. I said "fall"...

Ready to go crafting, Curt? No flooding here this spring. River water depths are rising yet no where near last summer's hundred year flood levels. Rains have fallen to bring the area near normal precipitation but the ground lacks over an inch of normal precip according to the weather bureau. Meantime, storm cells, winds gusting to near tornado speeds and more storm cells have filled the last three weeks between 'sunbreaks'. Yes, this is news since more books are checked from the library and more craft supplies are being specifically requested from indoor yard/garage sales than many vendors recall! Trusting that you are well boxed, planned, plotted, scheduled for the next month and a half. Be alert, summer garden, Curt's coming with extreme zest! Keep Looking UP!
