Hey All! Welcome to another addition of the Wednesday Evening Post with yours truly. I have a few projects to share with you this evening. So on to the first card. . .
I haven't made one of these in a long time. So, this idea came from my lack of ability to create an Easter card that I actually liked! I attempted no less than four (all sitting in my trash can) before thinking of this type of card. I had almost given up, but this came to my rescue:
How cute is that rabbit??? You'll hate me too, because I have no idea who makes the stamp. I bought this almost two years ago and put it in my binder before I found out that you were supposed to tell people who made your stamp! LOL Anyway, very little coloring was needed for him. I just did a little grey shadowing and added the pink to his ears and nose. Here is a little side view:
I love to create scenes, and Easter just lends itself to scenes. The eggs were created by first cutting them out with my oval nesties and then running them through various CB embossing folders. I then highlighted the embossed areas with MS glitter. The grass and fence was created with MS punches. I also used a CB die for the ribbon tag used for the sentiment. I attached it with the green gingham ribbon. Everything (including the grass panels) are attached to the base card with foam squares. The pale eggs in the background is just a sheet of paper that I used for a background for this photo. I made five of these to give to family members and my best friend and his partner. I'm going to attempt a dog themed one using the stamp that looks like Shotsy next.
My next project I wanted to share is just a simple one. Here it is:
I had made one of these for my blogging friend Chris for sending me the gift certificate. It is just a simple box to which I added some printed paper that looked like a row of tulips, and then punched out the fence to wrap around the box. The little plastic jars fit perfectly. I filled them with jelly bean eggs and then cut the same paper out for the top of the lid. Looks different in the picture because of the different light I had at the top of the box for lighting.
The next two are packaging for those little Millstone coffee packs and for packs of gourmet hot chocolate:
This is the same "memory box" that I have used for other projects that I've shown you. Here is yet another use:
The last card I want to share is this one:
The flowers were done with FlowerSoft. I love that stuff! The other thing I wanted to point out is that it is very hard to get a nice border around some of the Nestabilities dies labels editions. What I did with this one (and don't look too close 'cause I don't think I did a great job on this one!) is once I cut the nesties die cut out, I use double sided tape to tape it to the card stock that I'm going to use as the mat. I then carefully cut around it to get this mat.
OK, that's it for this post. Hope I made it worth your time. Thanks for sharing some moments with me. You know you have my heartfelt thanks.
I want to take this opportunity to wish you and all of your loved ones a very happy, warm, and blessed Easter Sunday. I hope your hearts are filled with the joy and meaning of this holiday, as well as all of the fun that the Easter Bunny can bring.
Love and hugs to all of you! Don't forget the PIC OF THE WEEK below!
Best,
Curt O'Brien

Good evening Curt, just managed to get my computer away from my Grandson who is home on leave from the Navy. No I really did not have to take it away from him. What a cute scene card, I have never done one. Yummy candies in that cute box. I really need to get on making some envelopes with the folder as yours look so great. Well off to look some more & then to bed for me. Have a lovely Easter!!
I always wonder where you find the time to make all these great creations you have been showing! That bunny stamp is just a crack up! I have lots of unnamed stamps too(BB=before blogging LOL)
I make my matts for certain nesties the same way...I either trace the outside and then cut out, or cut the orignal along the crease line...both ways work great. Thanks for sharing Curt!
Being on the receiving end of most of the absolutely delightful projects featured in this wonderful post, I can honestly proclaim that they are EVEN BETTER in real life than in your wonderful photos! I am loving, loving, loving all of them! All the best to Jay and hug those gorgeous boys for me too! ~chris
Oh how wonderful Curt! I am always thrilled to see what you come up with next.
I would love to spend some time with you to pick up all the wonderful tips for finishing everything so nicely. That is something I need to work on more.
One of the reasons I don't take close ups of my projects usually.
May your Easter be as special as you are.
Hugz to all of you.
They are all adorable but I absolutely love the bunny card! Eggs hiding in the grass, and the fence - I love it! Oddly enough, it never occurred to me to use those two punches together until I saw this card. Duh! Happy Easter. I hope the weather up there is as lovely as it is here. Spring has sprung!
A lovely selection of creations . And I have learnt a tip from you about cutting out eggs then embossing and adding glitter to embossed area . thanks. You did a very good job of cutting around nestabilities . A blind man would be happy to see it !
Love your projects as always. Thanks for the tip about matting Nestabilities. I am so gonna try that.
Love the bunny ears and sunfkower. They always make me smile when I come for a visit.

Your cards are great - I know what you mean about cutting around the Nestie shapes, I've had to do this a couple of times when using one of my stamp sets!!! I find I get a better result using a craft knife!!!
Love your treat filled bottles and the GKD pack. Hope you and Jay (and the boys) enjoy a Happy Easter!!!x

THIS BLOG IS TOTALLY AMAZING....MY FAVORITE IS "EVERYTHING". I CAN'T PICK OUT JUST ONE, #1, BUT I DO WANT THAT "BIKE", AND THE "BUNNY". LOVE YA, MOM
Good morning Curt!
OMG, I just love everything especially that little bunny it's face looks like my Miley (chocolate lab) when she looks up at me in the morning just before she jumps up on my lap for her belly rub. I must ask, I bought the flower soft stuff but never used it yet. Can I use any glue or do you have to use the flower soft glue? Just curious....
Your pics are perfect, was it someone in the hot air ballon that you knew? Those coffee holders are awesome too!
If I forgot anything it's because your creativity & artistic creations have just blown me away!
Hugs,
Gina

I love the eggs on your beautiful card. You have been quite busy. I havn't been checking your blog for a bit and am wondering if you have been successful in finding another job. I said a little prayer that for you that you would. Happy Easter to you and family. Remember, no chocolate bunnies for the pups. Mine will trying to steal some from my little grand-daughters baskets.
