THE WEDNESDAY EVENING POST FOR SEPTEMBER 18, 2013

Hey All!

I can't believe that it is Wednesday again!  And it is the last Wednesday of the Summer!  Is time flying or what?  I've even scheduled the pool's closing date for October 14th.  I've also purchased my first pumpkins for the season!!!  I'm just glad to see you here and I have to tell you, you all look amazing!  I've never seen you look better!  Whatever you are doing keep doing it because it is working!

Here are my cards for this post:
Look at their funny little faces!  Just as happy as they can be.  I'm entering this card into the HOUSE MOUSE MONDAY CHALLENGE.  I'm also entering it into the Pinspirational Challenge. This challenge's theme is "Autumn Leaves".  As always, I've colored the image with my colored pencils and oms.  The "sky" is sponged with distress ink.  That is one thing I really love about using colored pencils to color images. . .the wax in the pencils repels the sponged ink.  I stamped out the two large leaves ($1 stamps) and then embossed them.  I then used distress inks and water to paint them.  Fussy cut them then attached them to the card and added an oak leaf brad to finish it off as if they are pinned to the card.

Next. . .
The inside says "The Dangers of Hexing While Flying".  LOL  The image is by Northwoods Stamps and is colored with my colored pencils and oms.  I added the spell book to make it go more with the sentiment inside.  I found the clip art and cut the book out adding the "spells" by hand.  The background paper is from a DCWV stack.

Last card. . .
I've always wanted to try this shadow technique.  I stamped the first image in Distress Ink Walnut Stain and waited for it to dry.  I then stamped the same image on top of it slightly to the left of the original image in Versamark.  I then embossed the image with white ep.  I love the look and it was really simple to do.  Quick card for a quick need anytime.  The image is by Inque.

Pic of the Week
BUG DRESSED FOR AUTUMN
Another post has come to an end.  It's been fun visiting with you!  You are welcome here anytime.  I'll try to have some apple cider and Krispy Kreme pumpkin spice donuts for the next time you visit.

Hope you are all well and safe!

Hugs,

Curt

Three very different cards! Hard to choose a favorite. Love the witch in the tree - looks like something I could do (actually rear-ended my neighbor a few weeks ago). I adore your H.M. cards - you color them so beautifully! Those wee critters look like they are just flying right off the page! And that Thank You card is so elegant! The 'cute as a bug' pic of the week is just perfect for fall. So happy you are back among the bloggers!!!

Those are fabulous! You and those little House Mouses/Mice, you do such a great job with them. Great tip about te pencils resisting the sponged ink - I will have to remember that one.
love the Hexing While Driving - too cute! The look on the last card is beautiful, so calming and serene.

One last thing...I'd like to request Dunkin' Donuts instead of Krispy Kreme, if I may :-)

My favorite time of the year; fall.
Your HM card is totally gorgeous. Those faces just crack me up everytime.
That's the way I feel sometimes. Totally gobsmacked by a telephone pole and I am not even conjuring up a spell. lol
Lastly the stamp you used on this card is such a favorite of mine everytime I see it being used. I suppose I should get one.
Pic of the week is perfect for fall. Wonder if that wee bug knows it is going to get darn cold soon?
Love having you back.

Now I have to say I LOVE those little "fall" mousers....and that witch just cracks me up, and the sentiment is so perfect...love it...love it!! The last card is elegant and classy....another technique I might give a try to!!
Love the fall pic of "the boys"...give them a big ole' hug for me!!!

First, LOVE the new pic of the pups! SEcond, love ALL the cards. The witch....humm....I was thinking of changing out the book for a cell phone...not texting while flying! I have the stamp for the flower and soooo want to case this beautiful card. It's a perfect man card and a sympathy card which I don't do enough of. Is that a lightening bug? Save me a donut and some cider and after my trip to the mountains for my apples, I'll save you some apple butter and apple fritters.

Love those 'meeses' to pieces! Their expressions remind me of what your expression probably looks like as you are driving to Krispy Kreme.

The witch just cracked me up ... especially the inside sentiment. That card is a real keeper.

The shadow technique is a real classic and never gets old. It would be nice for any occasion, even sympathy.

So, now that I know you live near a Krispy Kreme, all the more reason for me to come to vacation at your home. Just watch for the u-haul behind a black Mazda (if I'm coming for a couple of months, well a girl needs her things).

Love all 3 of your cards - especially the witch - and I am going to try the last card you did - how elegant it is and "seems to be" an easy enough technique for me to try!!! Great job this week and as always love your pic of the week. I can't believe this is the last week of summer - we had a fairly mild summer this year and hate to see it end.
