THE WEDNESDAY EVENING POST FOR APRIL 3, 2013

Hey All!

Let me first start by apologizing for not getting to most of your blogs this week.  I don't know where the time went!  Well, I do know where it went, but that is neither here or there.  I hope this post finds you well and happy.  I'm in a much better mood thanks to the weather!  We have had sunshine for 3 days in a row!!!!  It has done so much for my spirits.  We are going to be in the mid 60s by this weekend and I can hardly wait.  What is going to be fun is to see what Spring flowers pop up here at the new house.  We moved in mid June, so we missed Spring here.  I have already spotted tulips coming through.

I did manage to get a card set done today.  Have a look:

Here is the box I made for the set.  It is my "go to" from Gina K Designs.  Here are the four cards that you will find inside. . .

I really love these images.  I got them at Joann Fabrics for $1 each.  They are clear stamps by Studio 112 from their summer mini assortment.  I stamped each image with Walnut Stain Distress ink on cream colored card stock.  I decided to keep them uncolored but did add copper Stickles on the shells and glitter on the two birds (which of course you can't see in the photos).  The background paper reminded me of swirling ocean water and the color is exactly what I wanted for this color scheme.  I roughed up the edges around each image, matted each, then double wrapped twine around them.  Here is the set together. . .

I can't believe these stamps were only a buck.  They rival anything that other stamp companies have out, and they stamped beautifully.

Pic of the Week

Thanks again for stopping by even though I was neglectful of you this week!  I'll be around to each of your blogs starting tomorrow.  I miss seeing the beautiful, creative work you all do.  Again, forgive me for not seeing you sooner!

Hope you are all OK and experiencing great weather for a change.  Take good care!

Hugs,

Curt

What a beautiful note card set! Now I need to go to JoAnn's tomorrow and find these stamps! LOVE LOVE LOVE these!!!! I need to get my act together and find my mojo and start figuring out what to make for end of the year teachers' gifts. This set is inspiring!!! Thanks so much for sharing!

No rush to check out my blog - nothing new there. *sigh* But I did recently get a box chock-full of new Stampendous stamps that will be appearing at Michael's soon. Hopefully my mojo will make an appearance and I will have some blog candy to celebrate the new Michaels stamps on or around May 1st. Stay tuned!

Be well. Enjoy Spring!

Your flower is so pretty. Is it in your yard?

Those cards are beautiful! You're lucky to have a decent Joannn's near you - ours is pitiful unless you want fabric. I love that swirly background, it does remind me of the ocean.

So happy for you that it is warming up and sunny. Yesterday was a grey, rain day here VERY autumny, but not complaining too much as the garden really needs all the rain, as we head into our dry winter months with no rain till October. I will be spending 5 weeks in The Netherlands from end April, so hope the warm spring weather will be there then.
Just love your card set and will go and check out that box, great for gifts. The background paper and those stamps are gorgeous.
You take care Curt, hugs, Ursula

Not fair that you are keeping the sunshine and +60 temperatures where you are. Very nice little set of cards that you have created Curt.

All the people that follow me and my blog know I am a die hard fan of water, beach, sand and surf. In the description on myself on my blog speaks of this...haha Anyhoooo, I feel instantly in love with your CAS shore scenes, and the icing on top was the steal that you found at JoAnn's. I guess I need to get over there and check out the bins. I sure know how time can get away from you and bloomy weather can put a damper on you psyche. In closing, I get a great joy out of seeing your furry kids in their headdress each week. PS except for today the weather has been awesome and my iris are blooming.

I'm a winter fan, but this week we've been getting doses of a four letter word and I'm kinda getting tired of it. Yay for sunshine! These cards may be some of my favourite yet! Great job!

I'm so glad the weather is having a good effect on you; I know I'm feeling better with better weather. I think too many of us can relate to how you've felt!
