Hey All!
Welcome back to another edition of the Wednesday Evening Post! I hope those of you on the east coast have dug yourselves out of that horrendous blizzard you all had. Good Lord that was a lot of snow! I've marveled at the pictures I've seen. I hope you are all OK.
I have a couple of new cards to share with you. If you've followed me for any length of time, you know I'm a sucker for cute and whimsical images. Well, these following cards scream of both! Take a look:
Like the sentiment says, this card also makes me smile. The snail and the frog are stamps by Stacey Yacula and the little mushroom and dragonfly are from other stamps sets I have. I just want to hug their little faces! They are colored with watercolor pencils. . .actually everything in this little scene is done in watercolor. I added the brad because it had spots like the frog. You'll be seeing the snail in another upcoming project.
Here's the next one:
LOL! This one makes me laugh. This pig is a Hambo digital stamp which is one of my favs. You can't see it very well in the photo, but the "brown" hill was ran through the crimper to look like plowed rows, but it doesn't show up in the photo very well. The little tree was perfect size for this scene and is a stamp from PTI. I drew the clouds by hand and cut them out, then added sparkle to their outline (which you also can't see very well), and the sky was sponged with distress ink. I fussy cut the pig and balloon out and popped him up with dimensional tape as well as one of the clouds for additional depth. The pig and balloon were colored with my cheap colored pencils. It is really cute irl.
So, there you have it. . .that is what came out of my head this week. I'd love to know what you think of them. As always, I thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to come and see me.
Pic of the Week
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I hope you all find yourself celebrating all the love in your lives as you are surrounded by all of those you love.
Hugs,
Curt
