THE WEDNESDAY EVENING POST FOR NOVEMBER 30, 2011

Hey All!

Come on and get in here!  It's cold outside!  Here, have a cup of freshly made hot chocolate and go sit over there by the fireplace.  Gosh, it's so nice of you to drop by!  I've got some stuff to show you!

Well, I can finally show you something I've been working on for a couple of months!  And it's in VIDEO FORM!!!  Two first here. . . I made my first paper bag album and my first video showing you a project!!!  So you ready???  Here is the video. . .it explains it all. . .
Bonnie loved it, and I'm so glad.  She has posted still pics of it on her blog HERE.

Here are my cards for this post:
A left over Thanksgiving card that I did not show you.  I love creating my own background paper and I made this using a stamp by Basic Grey.  I stamped the images with Forest Moss and Rusty Hinge distress inks.  The acorn image is by Inkadinkado and I covered the acorn caps with copper colored Stickles.  Added the wood grain ribbon and brads and done.

This started out being a Thanksgiving card and ended up as a thank you card.  I really like this bird stamp from Paper Girl clear stamps.  It actually stamps the gingham pattern.  Again I used distress inks for the bird images, cut them out, and popped them up on dimensional tape.  The wings are actually from another set and is actually a leaf!  LOL  I just thought they needed wings and the pattern on the leaf looked good with them so I went with it.

Now, my first Christmas card!!!!  Can you believe it?  Nor can I. . .
I've always liked this simple Santa hat image from Stampabilities.  It's colored with markers and then the white areas were done in Liquid Applique for texture.  The sentiment is Hero Arts.  I matted them onto red, sparkly paper for a little pizzazz.

OK, that's it for another visit.  Can I get you some more hot chocolate?  I've still got the "Pic of the Week" to show you and the "Video of the Week".

Video of the Week
This is THE MOST REMARKABLE MAGIC TRICK I HAVE EVER SEEN!  YOU WILL BE AMAZED!

Pic of the Week

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS
OK, if you must go, I understand. . .here's your coat.  It was so nice that you popped by.  Hope you enjoyed the visit.  I know I certainly did.  Take care of yourself and I'll see you soon!

Hugs,

Curt

What a wonderful thing to create a paper bag album for Bonnie! Teared up watching the video. I've never made a paper bag album, but now I'm really inspired to. Maybe, that would be a good gift for my mom since they lost their black lab. Wow inspiration and a good gift idea just by stopping by! Your cards are fabulous as well. I love all of them. Thanks for the cocoa and the warm fire :). Take care and have a wonderful week!

Just when I was able to look through my Gadget book without tears, I hear your voice as you explain the process of the book, and I am reduced to tears once again. This gift was truly from the heart and I will never be able to fully express my gratitude for it, Curt. It is one of those treasures that I will hold close to my heart and will think of you each and every time that I show it to others or sit quietly with it, by myself. You have touched my heart, Curt.

Hi, Curt...thanks for the offer of hot chocolate. What? Oh...yes, I would love marshmallows with mine. Do you mind if the Twins join us? Curt...as a dog lover, where do I even begin! Your album for Bonnie is fabulous, and I know it will become a cherished treasure. And your cards are awesome this week! I LOVE the bird card...it has such a unique country feel to it. Of course the Santa hat one is adorable, as is the picture of the horse with hat! I hate to go, but it is getting late, and I need to head off to visit some of my other blogging friends this evening. Thanks for getting my coat, and for letting me and the Twins warm up by the fire. Oh, wait...here are a couple of treats for the Boys. Once again, Curt, I thank you for your hospitality. See you again next week!

Whow...fantastic paperbag album. I too am fascinated by the whole process and I'm making one with a tea theme for a girlfriend. Hope mine turns out half as good as yours. Would love to see a video tute on how you have put the bags together. I made a mistake with mine, but "carriend" on with it as is. Since the receiver is not crafty, she probably won't notice.
Thanks for the inspiration Curt.

A great paper bag album and a wonderful video. I need to do a video. Did you use your Digital camera or a video cam? I love your cards as always. The magic video is something out of this world! And it really is looking a lot like Christmas. Make merry, my friend! Hope all is well with you and yours!

I *thought* that looked like my new gingham bird stamp from Girls' Paperie! I bought the kit - with stamp set - at Tuesday Morning while on vacation in North Carolina. I was tickled! (great prices there, you know)

Thanks for the inspiration on how to use this birdie, too. :) I like how he's dressed in these warm colors.
